History

 

Peter Kessler, owner and founder of Kandi Optics Laboratory has been in the optical industry for over 30 years.

 

In 1980 he started his training in Germany and continued working for the same company, in retail and the laboratory, and was instrumental in creating a central workshop for the company where he continued working until 1990.

 

In January 1990 Peter moved to Africa where he worked for an optometrist for 5 years, again in retail and the laboratory, where he also did fitting for 6 of the company’s branches.

 

In 1995 Peter started working for another optometrist, also in Africa, until 1997 when he moved to New Zealand.

 

Peter worked for 2 ½ years for a New Zealand Laboratory until taking over a fitting contract for a major lens supplier until 2003.

 

In August 2003, Kandi Optics Laboratory was opened for business in Albany, New Zealand on Auckland’s north shore with services available for optometrists' and private customers nationwide.

 

In January 2010 Peter moved to Adelaide South Australia and worked for a large lens supplier. Peter registered Kandi Optics Laboratory in October 2010, and in April 2012 he has once again re-opened his own laboratory.

 

Now Kandi Optics Laboratory has a new premises at:

1 Starr Ave, North Plympton, Adelaide,

 South Australia, 

where he is proud to provide old fashioned, quality service for major lens suppliers, chain and independent optometrists' and private customers nationwide.
